Spirituality, a personal journey...

Spirituality is a most intimate and personal matter. Spirituality is the relationship that exists between one's heart, mind, soul, and The Divine.  It's unique to each individual and their experiences and for that reason the spiritual journey has many paths.

Which we choose is just as personal.

There is no right or wrong way, there is only that way which speaks to you and your beliefs.  Whether you light candles, chant, pray, meditate on a mandala, practice yoga, or simply sit under a tree and appreciate the wonder you find there, it makes no difference.

If your spiritual path leads you to find comfort, inner peace, and your own understanding of Truth, it is right for you.  If your personal spirituality allows your spirit to soar and your soul to expand, it is right for you.

Let no one tell you which way you must go.  Your heart knows its home and your soul knows its Truth.

Building Bridges

"It is us against them.
There is your god and there is mine.
There is only what was and what will be.
There is this world and there is another.
There are the living and there are the dead.
There is The Divine and there is everything else."
-so concedes the mind of Duality.

"It is us against ourselves.
There is One with many names.
There is only Now.
There is The Universe.
There is Eternal Existence.
The One Energy permeates all Creation."
-so knows the mind of Unity.

Loving kindness    Charity    Faith   Tolerance    Optimism   Compassion   Empowerment   Consciousness    Interconnectedness    Belief in possibilities

Let these be the tools with which we build the bridge from separation and two-ness to our original Oneness.

Truths

We are spiritual beings in a physical experience.

When our physicality ends we live on as spiritual energy and consciousness.

Those who have made the transition into spirit are still present in our lives.

Awakening to one's own True and Divine Nature is possible for all, regardless of dogma.

We are all sparks of G-D in human costume.

G-D is Love, therefore Love is our True Nature.

As Beings of Divine Light we are co-Creators of our world.

why "G-D" ?

Recently I was asked why I write "G-D".  It has it's roots in Judaism (so that it won't accidentally be taken in vain or defiled) but it resonates with me for a different reason.

The dash symbolizes the unknowable, all-and-nothing nature of G-D -- that nature which can never be fully expressed by such inadequate a thing as a word.  "G-D" is my way of using language while leaving the ineffable nature firmly centered within the word.
